Falling And Flying

It's strange how

for a moment,

falling feels

like flying.

How we confuse

which direction

is up

and confuse the ground 

for the sky.

That we don't know

we're descending

until it's too late

and we hit

land

instead of 

air.

I was listening to a song called "Falling and Flying" from the movie Crazy Heart, and I love the chorus line: "Funny how falling feels like flying, for a little while."
