I tried to banish you ages ago.
So many times I’ve told myself
that I’m better off without you,
and yet you still lurk in my thoughts.
Go away,
you’ve already broken my heart once,
I need time to heal.
But maybe it’s not you in my head,
maybe it’s me not wanting to forget.
